Paterson
Drone photography and video in Paterson, NJ.
Paterson's mill buildings are being sold and redeveloped, and their size and setting are clearest from the air.
Mill buildings
A large Paterson mill can't be captured by a ground camera: the footprint, roof condition, river frontage, parking, and the neighborhood around it. Investors use aerials both for the offering and as overhead documentation for the lender.
Redevelopment
Around the Great Falls district, redevelopment parcels and institutional projects need site aerials before construction, progress images during it, and marketing imagery after. Paterson Great Falls is a National Park Service site, so drones are launched from outside the park boundary.
Airspace
Most Paterson sites need no FAA authorization, so the flight is scheduled for when the sun is on the building's main facade. More on the Passaic County page.
